Today has just been the worst!!! Joshua's procedure went fine technically, but was pretty miserable for him. The anesthesia made him really angry, so his recovery time was spent just trying to restrain him. Then, later in the day he spiked a fever of 104. We think he has a virus because both Zachary and Dylan are sick with similar symptoms. The doctors are running a bunch of different tests just to rule out everything they possibly can. Joshua will now be in isolation and is once again hooked up to the tubes.
On an interesting note, Hillary Clinton was here this morning to hold a press conference in the courtyard that our old room overlooked. Apparently, she wanted to visit the kids here on 10 South, but the hospital said no due to her large entourage. She did come up to 10 North though. Her visit made this place grind to a halt! Lunch was an hour and a half late and nobody could use the elevators for a while or enter 10 North (of coarse). I felt bad for Joshua since he didn't get to have lunch! The police, bomb sniffing dogs and the secret service arrived at 6pm yesterday and were on every floor. It was pretty cool to see the secret service guys...and I'll just leave it at that!
