Joshua's tubies are out!!! The procedure went well...except that the sedation didn't knock him out! He screamed and yelled the entire time, really fought the nurses and doctor. Our doctor was surprised that he didn’t go out, but assured me that Joshua wasn’t really “with it”. I could tell that he was right since Joshua couldn’t hold his head up and had a really goofy look on his face! But, he came right out of it! Afterward, we took the kids to lunch and then to Bob’s Red Mill…which was really fun!
Later, at home, we gave Joshua his “therapy doll” who now wears Joshua’s Hickman. He enjoyed flushing the lines and sticking “ouchie tape” to it. But has expressed that he is sad that the baby took his tubies and that he wants his tubies back…he has cried about it a little.
